The Dominican Museum of San Marco is an evocative place that echoes the history of Florence. This place is linked to two prominent personalities such as were Beato Angelico and Girolamo Savonarola.

\nAn opportunity not to be missed to visit the Accademia Gallery, inside which we find evidence of medieval and Renaissance art. An entire chapter is devoted to Michelangelo Buonarroti and his masterpieces, such as the David executed in the early 16th century.<\/p>\n

SUNDAY, JANUARY 19, 2025 The MUSEUM OF THE WEAK.<\/h3>\n

If you love to see human bodies cut into sections and reconstructed in wax, then this is the place where you can satisfy your thirst for knowledge. After a long restoration this year, the Museum of the Specola in Palazzo Torrigiani finally reopened to the public. It houses inside it unique collections of zoology and anatomical waxes, the latter of fundamental importance for medical study and knowledge.<\/p>\n

The Arezzo chimera is one of the best-known archaeological finds in the museum’s collection, but not the only one. The museum boasts a very interesting Egyptian section.<\/p>\n

Visiting Florence, one cannot ignore this unique place that gathers in itself so many centuries of history.
