2024 is a year associated with the Saint of Assisi. Eight hundred years ago the Poor Man of Assisi received the stigmata at the Shrine of La Verna. In Prato, the church of St. Francis boasts very ancient origins and artistic excellence such as the cycle of frescoes contained in the Migliorati Chapel.

If you love to see human bodies cut into sections and reconstructed in wax, then this is the place where you can satisfy your thirst for knowledge. After a long restoration this year, the Museum of the Specola in Palazzo Torrigiani finally reopened to the public. It houses inside it unique collections of zoology and anatomical waxes, the latter of fundamental importance for medical study and knowledge.
